Vijay Raja started in a small shop with 2 people in the year 1949 under the name ‘Raja Stores’ by Shri. M. Rajapandiyan and grown to a distinguished retail chain in Chennai. In the year 1963 the first venture into the foray of real estate and construction was initiated with the design and construction of ‘Sri Raja Kalyana Mandapam’ which is a mixture of luxury and heritage of Tamil culture built across 40K Sqft in Mylapore location which is one of the sought after location known for historical aspects of older Madras – now Chennai. In the year 1983 Mr. Chendilnathan took over the business as Chairman cum Managing Director with a vision to create a multifaceted business group with the core focus in unrelenting customer satisfaction and continued relationship with customer as it’s success mantra.
