Maithan Ispat Limited is a subsidiary of MIDEAST INTEGRATED STEELS LTD. (MESCO Group), having manufacturing interests in DRI, rebars, billets, sections and HSM. Maithan Ispat Ltd was set up in 2004 under an MOU with the State of Odisha at Kalinganagar, Jajpur. MESCO Group has taken over the plant since 2015. The Company possesses an integrated facility, straddling the value chain from ore to finished steel. The Company manufactures steel through the DRI-IF-LRF-HSM route. Maithan Ispat has made a critical addition to its portfolio by launching parallel flange beams, columns and channels. The fast-growing infrastructure and construction sectors are currently forced to opt for inferior and more expensive alternatives due to the unavailability of these products. Maithan has responded to this challenge with a state-of the-art dedicated facility with adequate capacity and product range to efficiently service the market.
