Ka in Egyptian mythology is the concept of 'vital essence' that is sustained through food and drink.Founded in 2011, KA is the country's first hospitality company to import Michelin starred restaurants in a stand-alone format here. Their first enterprise was Hakkasan Mumbai, the Michelin-awarded establishment from London with branches in the Middle East, China and USA. With the launch of Hakkasan, KA took the first steps to redefine our food industry by setting enviable trends for the discerning Indian diner to follow.Soon after Hakkasan, the company brought down Yauatcha, London's favourite dim sum and tea house to Mumbai. In addition to putting the spotlight on the art of dim sum, Yauatcha offers affordable luxury in a city that is hungry for eclectic dining experiences. After the success of Yauatcha Mumbai, KA expanded the brand, taking it to Bangalore in 2013. Soon after, Yauatcha became the toast of Kolkata in 2014.
