Infusing team spirit within finance & across the business Job Description The incumbent would be responsible for: 1. Ensuring balance sheet Profit and Loss Accounts of the region reflects true and correct picture of its operations. Ensuring company has maintained proper records showing full particulars, including quantitative details and situation of fixed assets. Give comfort to management and auditors that region has followed all significant accounting policies of the Company. Giving comfort to management and auditors that requirement of Annual financial reporting is met in all respects. Ensuring revenue recognition is done as per AS9 & Contract 2. Reviewing financial transactions to ensure compliances with internal accounting policies of various divisions. Reviewing of collection and accounting as per corporate policies Reviewing of ledger accounting to ensure accounts are prepared in conformity with MIS codes 3. Undertaking regular risk assessment of financial systems and development of suitable internal controls. Regular review of trial balance, ledger reconciliations and transactions 4. Enhancing the quality of finance operations including competency and technical skills of branch finance team and new ERP and other IT systems 5. Identifying the gaps in competencies and technical skills and plan skill enhancement programs for branch finance team 6. Leading the Finance Team at the Regional level for all businesses at the Branch establishments 7. Facilitating business targets (Sales & Service) by ensuring effective and efficient support in Finance and fiscal taxes 8. Identifying the development areas of business or commercial operations and suggestions for improvements Implement Account code wise responsibility matrix at branches Transaction wise authorisation matrix for business / commercial Building branch finance operating manual 9. Designing, monitoring & reviewing compliance governance, risk & controls for various operations in ACR, ACP, Cash & FA and ensuring data/ system discipline 10. Studying the final requirement gathering document for finance process Validate the solution offered in the new ERP. Ensure all the points as per requirement document are addressed in new ERP Finalize the requirements in consultation with Corporate Finance, division and assisting GITL team in testing of mapped solution 11. Working with Infor and other project team members for the implementation of LN. Improving system built controls to automate processes in BaaN and other softwares 12. Ensuring timely payment of taxes, filing of tax returns and issue of C & F Forms Advising on Income- Tax, Excise Duty, Service Tax, Value Added Tax and Octroi involving business solutions for complex transactions of job work, sales and purchases, and of rendering services. Liasoning with tax authorities and customers on tax / payment related matters. Review of Tax Rates on Products & Services, Accounting & Record keeping of Statutory Forms 13. Ensuring the cases are properly represented before the authorities / courts Ensuring VAT, WCT & CST Assessments are done at the best interests of the company including supervising the receipt of C, F and other concessional tax forms; Tracking Major tax Litigations and planning of assessments 14. Reviewing of banking operations and finding opportunities for improvement in effective fund and float management including Cash Management Reduction of lead time and cost in collection; 15. Undertaking receivable management including credit control with focus on cheque returns, blank cheques, balance confirmations & pending tax forms 16. Advising business on finance and tax efficient structures on sales Advising business on finance and tax compliant contracts 17. Reviewing of Fixed Assets management . Reviewing the quality of current assets. Ensuring that expenses are made within the policy Generating revenue thru interest and bank charges recovery Qualification Details Essential Qualification: Chartered Accountant / ICWAI Preferred Qualification: - - Experience Details Essential Experience: 7- 10 years of work experience Preferred Experience: Work experience in regional or national profile Special Skill 1. Knowledge of: - Accounting Standards - Direct Taxes - Company Law, Indirect Tax laws like VAT & Service Tax - Knowledge in commercial laws - BaaN/ INFOR Ln ERP system and other IT systems 2.
